At a Meeting of the Members of the Sydney
Mechanics School of Arts held at the Hall of
the Institution, April 14th 1841.
It was moved seconded and unanimously
resolved

That this Meeting having understood that
Robert Bald of Alloa, Esquire, had with great
kindness, liberality, and a disinterested desire to
promote the cause of Science, undertaken the selection and
shipment of certain Philosophical Apparatus purchased
on behalf of the Sydney Mechanics School of
Arts

"Resolved - that Mr. Bald be elected an
Honorary Member of this Institution, in testimony of
the high esteem in which his exertions are held in this
remote Dependency of the British Empire" -
