My dearest Mamma

I received your kind note and was sorry to hear that poor little Fanny was so ill I have a bad cold also. but I do not think it will turn to hooping
We are going to have a dance on thursday

I rode to Maitland and back again yesterday and was not very tired

Minna sends her love and thanks for the seal Uncle John has gone with the boys to call on Mrs. Jones. All here send their love. Give my love and a kiss to Papa

I am quite ashamed of allowing Annies letter to go she is so full of her fun. We cannot keep her quiet a moment. I return you many thanks for your kind present.
